Sleep Center

More than 70 million adults in the United States experience some kind of sleep disturbance. Thanks to advancements in medical research and technology, our Sleep Center can uncover the cause of sleep disorders that disturb you at night.

Our Sleep Center, the first in Tampa Bay to be accredited by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, will help you discover how lifestyle factors, such as such as exercise and nutrition, may affect sleep patterns. By achieving a healthy balance of activity, nutrition and spiritual fulfillment, you will find rest.

Once accurately diagnosed, most sleep disorders can be effectively treated or managed. To diagnose a sleep disorder, a sleep study may be required, and usually involves an overnight stay. During the night, a specialized team monitors and records the patient's sleep patterns, heart activities, breathing and body movements. A board-certified physician then reviews and subsequently determines the proper diagnosis. A personalized treatment plan is created helping get patients back into the routine of getting a good night's sleep.

Wound Healing Institute

There's an old adage that says time heals all wounds. In some cases, time can use our help because some wounds resist healing. Florida Hospital Tampa's Wound Healing Institute brings together a team of physicians, nurses and certified technologists to provide individualized treatment plans and comprehensive therapies to treat problem wounds.

At the Wound Healing Institute, our multidisciplinary approach to chronic wound care equals the best possible outcome for our patients. Approximately 92% of all patients treated in our centers are healed within sixteen weeks.

We bring together a team of professionals, including physicians, nurses, and hyperbaric staff, led by our board-certified medical director. We offer individual, customized treatment regimens, comprehensive therapies, and the latest procedures and equipment, including hyperbaric oxygen therapy.

Hyperbaric oxygen therapy is a treatment in which patients breathe 100 percent oxygen while enclosed in a clear, specialized chamber at greater-than-normal atmospheric pressure. The result is that the body's natural wound-healing mechanisms, which are oxygen dependent, are able to function more efficiently.

We have three convenient locations in the Tampa Bay area, including north Tampa, Carrollwood, and Brandon.
